Czech diplomat, security analyst and vice president of the CEVRO Institute, a private university in Prague. Tomáš Pojar spent ten years working at the humanitarian NGO People in Need (Člověk v tísni), eight of those as its director. In 2005 he began working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Deputy Minister for Bilateral Relations and First Deputy Minister for Security, EU Affairs and Bilateral Relations with European Countries. In 2010 – 2014 Pojar served as Czech Ambassador to Israel. He is also an outspoken critic of “political correctness” and populism. He also provides influential commentary on the Czech Republic’s foreign policy.
