About

Economist, university lecturer and former advisor to President Václav Havel and Minister of Finance Bohuslav Sobotka, co-owner of consulting firm E-merit, s.r.o. In 2009 Sedláček joined the government’s National Economic Council (NERV), where he served as public finance guarantor starting in 2011. He also acts as chief macroeconomic strategist for ČSOB (a large Czech bank) and Board member of the Anticorruption Endowment Fund and is the author of the book Economics of Good and Evil. Sedláček spent part of his childhood living abroad, had an international education and is involved in a large number of activities and positions, making him a prominent and active figure on the economic scene in the Czech Republic and internationally.
